Poovar is one of the most beautiful tourist hotspots in Kerala. Backwater cruise is Poovar's Specialty. And the golden sand beach is one of the clean beaches in Kerala. Bird watching is another attraction at Poovar. You should arrive early in the morning so that you can see more birds at Poovar. The estuary ( Pozhi in Malayalam) at Poovar is whenre the Neyyar river meets the Arabian sea.
